Clothing and Appearance
- You can redo your character's appearance by holding Left on the D-Pad > Online Option > Change Appearance. It's free the first time. Changing your appearance more than once will cost you 10 Gold Bars or $400 to Confirm Changes. It may take a few seconds for the $400 price to show after the 10 Gold Bars price.
- An Outfit (custom or premade) can be suitable for cold, average, or warm temperatures. If you don’t dress appropriately your cores will degrade faster. Tap Down on the D-Pad to see which area you’re in and the temperature on the top middle of the screen.
- Save custom or premade Outfits to your Horse using a Wardrobe. You can store 3 with normal Saddlebags, 5 with large Saddlebags, and 7 with the Collector's Saddlebag.
- You need 4 warm articles of clothing for an Outfit to be suitable for cold temperatures, or your Cores will drain fast. Some coats will be so warm you only need 3 or fewer articles of clothing. Look for clothing which description mentions cold weather or warm attributes. Hardy Tonics, sold by Harriet for $15.00 each, temporarily protect your Cores from the harmful effects of weather.
- There are some Hats and Gloves that provide warmth. These are unique considering you can take both off through the Item wheel to make your outfit instantly cooler. All without needing your Horse unless you want to put them back on.
- Coats, shirts, vests, gloves, and boots will help you achieve a winter outfit. A clothing article’s description in the catalog will state if they are warm and/or suitable for winter.
- Save Bandanas to your outfits to slip them on/off through your Items wheel. Commit crimes with the Bandana on, flee the police, and take the Bandana off. This helps you wait out the wanted level.
- Use Hair Pomade before seeing the Barber in order to view more hairstyles.
- A hat flashing silver means it won't save to your character and gold means it will.
- You can shoot a dead NPC's head to obtain their hat.
